My best friend once went through an Emo stage. It was actually pretty scary, because she was very into it. It wasn't so much Emo as being obsessed about Emo music. Because she played it and sang it constantly, I was able to pick up a few lyrics, namely, the ones from Bright Eyes which I included in this comic.

Emo kids are cute. However, I don't think I'll ever find myself Emo.

The last panel is my attempt at a stick figure doing the Emo pose. I think I did a pretty decent job, considering stick figures don't have shoulders.

There a funny rock song that My friend and I were singing during chorus. Basically its:

[insert line of something emo people do]
I must be Emo.

[repeat four or five times, then a verse about your sister and then one ablut tight pants.]

It was so random, I think the song was wrong though. I know of guys who wear tight pants, and characters who like tight pants who aren't emo. (Ichigo, to name one)

And have you ever heard Jeff Foxworthy's "You're a redneck if . . . "? You could do a "You're Emo if . . . You have you're own personal rain cloud." Et cetera.

Plenty of people who wear tight pants aren't Emo. In fact, the people I know who are Emo wear baggy pants.

Yeah . . . I've come across as emo because I wear belly shirts once in a while because supposedly emo people wear shirts that are too small.

I think the people who say that have a completely skewed idea of what Emo people wear, because the Emo people I know do not wear small shirts. They wear band shirts underneath button-down shirts. They wear baggy pants, too.

But then, we're talking about stereotypes, and stereotypes tend to be completely wrong anyway.
